As believers we strive to help redeem the broken pieces of the Fox Cities and point towards the common grace of God and the need of His special grace. One method of doing this is partnering with organizations in the community to bring justice and reconciliation. Emmaus Road is partnering short-term with several ministries in the Fox Cities, but hopes to identify with one in particular long-term. An offering is taken for this mercy ministry on the 1st of each month.
World Relief Good Neighbor Team
Over the next few months, our church has an opportunity to be a good neighbor and assemble a Good Neighbor Team for a new Congolese family of six: a father, a mother, and four sons (ages 10, 9, 5, and 3) who are arriving on Wednesday, November 28th. This family has a U.S. tie/connection but could still use lots of support with such a large family.
To that end, we are assembling a team of 6-10 people who are willing to partner with World Relief to welcome and walk alongside this refugee family both before they arrive and also as they transition to life in Appleton. An informational packet about this Good Neighbor Team is available here, and also available is a list of the household items needed by the family.
