In order to make groups accessible for everyone in our congregation, we will be having men's and women's small groups (4-6 people) meeting on alternating weeks. Some groups are meeting virtually and some are meeting in-person, and there are options on different days and times during the week. Different people in our church have differing views on social gatherings, and this approach allows everyone to choose a group with which they feel safe; and while God has blessed ERC with many children, child-care provides an additional challenge for our traditional groups. By having men’s and women’s groups on alternating weeks, this allows for parents to alternate watching their children so they can each be part of a group. One of the ways we hope to promote unity, even in these smaller groups, is by all studying the same thing together: the book of Ephesians, using Scotty Smith's study guide.
